Find the root of your problems in 5 minutes using this method !!! ( Most readers find it in 3)

21 May 2021

I usually wake up feeling a surge of creative energy but on this day , the 21st of May 2021 I woke up feeling quite uneasy and somewhat depressed , there was a lot on my mind and I couldn’t even tell what it was ( ever have days like that ?).

Let me take you back a few Hours.

I just started my virtual assistant business so the evening before I had spoken to a potential client and he told me something I had known deep down for a while , “your mental and creative energy is all over the place" .

You are probably guilty of it too, working on several projects at the same time. I always fall into this trap.

The feeling dragged on through the following week, I got hit with malaria and although i was managing to work with it because of the meds, I still felt uneasy and anxious, I had stopped taking the necessary daily steps required to achieve my goals .

I felt stuck and really confused until I came across a strategy to finding the root of a problem in a book I’m currently reading .

The method is known as the 5 whys.

The 5 whys

This method of solving problems requires you to add why to an answer 5 times.

For example:

  1. Why do I wake up late?

It’s because I go to bed late

2. Why do I go to bed late ?

It’s because I always have work to do till about 11pm

3. Why do I work till 11pm ?

It’s because I spend most of the day handling , meetings ,emails and calls and don’t get to do actual work .

4. Why do I handle emails, calls and meetings during the peak hours of the day ?

It’s because there’s no one else to handle them

5. Why is there no one else to handle them? (Root cause of the problem)

Try this out and let me know in the comments how they worked for you.
